We want the Jennis Bay Experience to be one our guests will always remember (for all the right reasons!). That is why we want and need YOUR feedback!
Based on our guests’ unique sense of adventure, and current eco-tourism market analysis, Jennis
Bay Extreme Expeditions, Ltd. is proposing to expand our offerings in the future to include exclusive 3 and 4-day packages
to both fly-in and boat-in guests. These offerings would include not only access
to all of our amenities and activities, but also the following:
-
Geocaching treasure hunts covering land and sea (on foot, in paddleboats, on bikes
and, for those qualified, coldwater diving). Geocaching by definition (source: Wikipedia) is an outdoor treasure-hunting game in which participants (called “geocachers”)
use a hand-held Global Positioning System receiver or other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers (called “geocaches”
or “caches”) anywhere in the world. A typical cache is a small, easily
identified waterproof container holding a logbook and “treasure” (usually souvenirs/toys or trinkets of little
monetary value). The finding geocachers record their exploits in the logbook
and are free to take objects from the cache in exchange for leaving something
of similar or higher value, so there is “treasure” for the next person to find.
Jennis Bay and Huaskin Lake are ideal locations for geocaching due to the many outdoor activities and various terrain
which can be utilized in hunting for the cache.
-
Historically,
culturally and environmentally sensitive guided bike, paddle boat and lake excursions showcasing the beauty
of the area, the rich First Nations presence of Drury Inlet, as well as the colorful logging past of Jennis Bay and Huaskin
Lake;
-
“Historic
logging camp-style” accommodations and dining, comprising antique floating bunkhouse, private land-based cabins
and central lodge facility;
-
World-class
cold-water scuba diving with local dive masters and deep sea fishing with locally contracted fishing
guides.
-
Couples
packages and team-building adventure retreats, catering to guests’ preferences.
